Here at Fearless Mom, we strive to equip you to embrace your responsibility as a mom. We don’t want to add to your already crazy to-do list, we just want to help you be intentional with what you’re already doing.

We truly believe that when you partner with God, He will be faithful to fill in the gaps not if, but when we fall short. One of the best ways to build a trusting relationship with God is to spend time with Him. Starting a new devotional or Bible reading plan is a great way to do that, but we know that not everyone has time to spend on a “quiet time” routine. So, we have a great solution for you: music!

Have Alexa play some worship music while you cook dinner. Listen to your local Christian radio station while you’re running errands or waiting in the carpool line. Listen to your favorite worship jams while you’re out for a run or working in the yard. We even made a Fearless Mom playlist on Spotify to help you discover the music that can fuel you! (LINK to playlist HERE)

We think that the Bible is the O.G. parenting book, and many worship songs are rooted in scripture. We are going to do a blog series where we look at the lyrics from popular worship songs and hymns, filter them through scripture, and apply them to your responsibility as a mom. So, without further ado, here is “Motherhood According to ‘See a Victory.’”

“See a Victory” by Elevation Worship:

The weapon may be formed, but it won’t prosper
When the darkness falls, it won’t prevail
Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph
My God will never fail
Oh my God will never fail

I’m gonna see a victory
I’m gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to you Lord
I’m gonna see a victory
I’m gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to you Lord

There’s power in the mighty name of Jesus
Every war He wages He will win
I’m not backing down from any giant
‘Cause I know how this story ends
Yes I know how this story ends

You take what the enemy meant for evil
And you turn it for good
You turn it for good
You take what the enemy meant for evil
And you turn it for good
You turn it for good

This song is such a beautiful powerful battle cry. The reminders that no matter what the enemy throws at us, our husbands, our children – Our God “knows only how to triumph,” and He “will never fail!” The all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving God has every battle in His hands.

“Is my kid happy? Am I giving him the right opportunities to become who God wants him to be? Is she surrounding herself with the right friends? Am I too strict?” When you feel overwhelmed about your responsibilities, the countless decisions, and the balancing act that we must face every day as moms, motherhood can feel like a giant.

Let “See a Victory” be your battle cry. Rely on God as you face your giants because we know that every story ends in victory when you partner with God. Trust that God will use battles to shape you and your children into incredible, resilient, independent people.

Let’s give God the opportunity to “take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good.” Let’s turn our reflex to compare into an opportunity to celebrate other moms. Let’s turn our fears about our children who are struggling in school into an opportunity to find creative ways to help them succeed. Let’s look at our never-ending to-do lists and pause to remember that “this is just a chapter of my life.” Let’s share our struggles with other moms in a way that provides comradery and inspiration to others who are also struggling.

Motherhood can feel like a string of constant battles, but we “know how this story ends” when we rely on God. We willsee a victory.” You’ve got this, Mom, and God’s got you!
